My name is Alex and I’m passionate about supporting children with diverse learning and developmental needs. I have 21 credits in Early Childhood Education and hold a bachelor’s degree in History. I have about 2 1/2 years of experience working in schools as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional. I currently work as a 1st/2nd grade Special Day Class, where I work with students with autism, speech and language impairments, and ADHD. I’m very comfortable using structured routines, clear expectations, positive reinforcement, redirection, and patience to help students stay regulated and successful. Outside of work I’m very active and enjoy climbing mountains, paddle boarding, biking, and snowboarding. I’ve played soccer and other sports most of my life and love spending time outdoors. I enjoy bringing that energy to activities with kids—whether it’s playing outside, exploring nature, or finding fun ways to stay engaged and curious about the world.
