Hi! My name is Kathleen, and I have extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of disabilities and support needs. I worked for two years as a Behavior Technician in an ABA clinic with children ages 2–12. I supported both speaking and nonspeaking children, including children who used AAC devices and PECS, as well as children with Rett syndrome and Phelan-McDermid syndrome. I also have experience with elopement, feeding tubes, feeding therapy, and individualized behavioral support. At the clinic, I was responsible for creating weekly art projects that could be adapted for children with different abilities and needs. I also have over five years of experience as a nanny and family assistant and am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Special Education. I am patient, caring, dependable, and passionate about helping children build independence while feeling safe, supported, and understood.
